                      My Testimony to Jehovah’s Witnesses

 

 

 

Having been wonderfully SAVED (Acts 16:30, 31) by the undeserved kindness of God, through faith and not by works, I have obtained this most generous gift (Eph. 2:8, 9 ;          Rom. 4:1-6).  And now as a true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, I am the recipient of      every spiritual blessing in Christ assured to me from God’s own eternal word (Eph. 1:3).

Theistic Evolution - Problems With It.

The website contains a video explaining problems with the thinking behind Theistic Evolution or Evolutionary Creation..  (which is different than Progressive Creation). Francis Collins (The Language of God) is a popular proponent of theistic evolution.  http://www.faithandevolution.org

Some thoughts about science and the possibility of God's existence.  

  1. If we accept the argument that the Standard Big Bang model is the best explanation of observations regarding space and the origins of the universe, the idea that time, space, and the universe began at the big bang nearly demands the existence of a transcendent cause, designer, or creator. This fact has caused quite a stir in the astronomy/physicist community over the years. It is one of the motivating factors behind theories such as multiverses, oscilating-universes, and other theories that resolve the problem of a "beginning" to the universe.
  2. Many finely tuned "constants" exist, that were they slightly different, would have prevented the appearance of our universe. These are so specific, that many astronomers have admitted that naturalistic explanations are "less" likely than opening the door to some mind or cause behind this find tuning. While some have opted for a new-age sort of belief in some intelligence or cause behind the universe, others see this evidence for the God of the Bible.  Whatever route is taken, this clearly documented observation erects a major hurdle for the idea that the universe came about undesigned and uncaused.
